Hi Lina

You have done a great job on these pieces. I would also like to know what products you used on them, especially on the first pieces with the black backgrounds.

Thanks you for sharing your work with us.

Hello Maria,
I traced the outline on the black tile first, then I went over it with the small white enamel dots. For the dots, your mix should be on the thick side. I fired it at 760, then with a very thin enamel mix I painted a fine wash and fired again.

For the flowers, I did the outline first with thicker mix...fired, then painted with the thin wash.

Hello Maxine,
On the black tiles, I have used a product called white enamel. It is a special white powder that you mix with your medium to create a mix, and depends on what your subject is, you decide on the consistancy of your mix. Exp: if you are doing dots, your mix should be like a touth paste...and if you are doing a wash, you add a good amount of medium to make it transparent. Enjoy painting.

Lina, well done, your pieces look really lovely and show up so well and so crisp against the black background. You know how much I love Black and White. Lovely to see your there. Love Jackie.
